When starting from nothing and I mean nothing, it seems to take forever for a nice yard to grow up around you. The "yard" part is somewhat easy and quick, if you lay sod. The gardening part is helping me practice a little more patience. A beautiful landscaped, fun, colorful yard with the exact blooms and colors that I want will someday be mine.I like to think of myself as "not a girlie girl" but I must say I do love certain flowers. Lilies and lilacs are my current favorite. I am patiently waiting for a start of a lilac bush. Not any lilac bush start, it has to be from a dark purple bush. I like the smell of any lilac, but to see the beauty of the dark ones just make me smile, if only to myself.
